Disney Trip May, 2013

Adam had a clinical internship to complete this summer. His schedule would allow him to have 2 weeks off, so we had to decide if we wanted those two weeks to be in May or August. We decided May was best. We planned a trip to Disneyland for this time. We knew Ethan would be young, but decided that 3 months or 3 weeks would make little difference to a young baby. Really he was fine, and we all had a great time. It was a good time to visit. The crowds were lighter, the weather not too hot, and since it was before her birthday, Abigail was still free.We stayed at a hotel just across the street from the main entrance and took a rest every afternoon. Abigail had a great time and cannot wait to go back.

Day's 1 & 4: California Adventure.
The tickets we bought allowed entrance to only one park per day. The first day we headed over to California Adventure to check out the new Carsland area. We returned on our last day. The theming is very immersive and Mater's ride and the Racers were both a lot of fun. Abigail had recently reached 40" tall, which allowed her to ride most rides. She enjoyed the Radiator Racer's ride and even the Tower of Terror. She wanted to ride the Screamin' coaster, but she won't be tall enough for that one for a few years. Ethan enjoyed being held and watching the people around him. He ate and slept a lot, after all he was only 3 weeks old.

Days 2 & 3: Disneyland
Because Abigail is so tall, she was able to try out some new rides here as well. We took her on Splash and Space Mountain as well as Star Tours. She's too short for the new Matterhorn sleds (next year), and Big Thunder was closed. She LOVED Splash Mountain and rode it several times in a row. She was a little afraid of Space Mountain when she rode it with me, but then Adam got her to ride with him the next day and she liked it. He taught her to scream through the ride for fun. She went on it with him again. We rode all of the family rides together, and then we took turns riding the bigger rides with Abigail.

Ethan

Ethan was born at 7:51am on Friday, April 26, 2013. He was 21.5 inches and weighed 9lbs 2oz.

Grandma brought Abigail to visit us in the hospital.
Abigail was excited to see her brother, but she was also feeling grumpy.

When we brought Ethan home we had more visitors.
Ethan dressed for bed; Abigail wore these PJs too.

Abigail doesn't understand why Ethan sleeps all the time. She wants him to wake up and play with her. She has been having fun pushing him in the swing.

Grandpa holds Ethan during my birthday dinner.

Ethan meets cousin Lexie. She's a week older, but he's quite a bit bigger (though it's hard to tell in the picture).

Christmas Vacation

I started this post a long time ago. The last time I tried working on it was Februrary. There were more pictures I was going to upload, but the site was having issues. Today I decided to just post what was already uploaded.
